““I love when kids think they won’t enjoy dancing and later surprise themselves by how much they love learning a routine! Our classes are always fresh and fun with relevant music they love. They are fast paced so kids are up and moving from the first minute. Teachers are always shocked that students are so engaged and remember a whole routine in just one lesson!” ”
Dream St Dance Company is your go-to for curriculum-linked school dance programs. We offer everything from dance classes for large and small groups, school sports programs, organisation and running of school discos to dance concerts, competitions and performances. We can also help with choreography and classes for Year 6 graduations and farewells, after-school-care dance programs, fly-in regional dance programs and All-Star cheerleading coaching. We even specialise in preschool dance classes!
Our programs are unique as they have been trailed and tested and are designed to develop students’ self-confidence, teamwork and fitness despite age, gender or dance ability. What sets us apart is how inclusive and fun our programs are, meaning every child will be smiling, laughing and learning.
Director and Founder Ashleigh Andrews has over a decade of experience working with children in public and private, interfaith, religious, co-ed, and single-gender schools. She has become known for making dancing engaging and enjoyable for all children, including those with special needs, learning difficulties and behavioural issues.
Dream St Dance Company services schools (pre-school, primary and high school) in Sydney metropolitan areas, including schools as far north as Newcastle and as far south as Wollongong. Regional NSW schools (and schools across Australia) can still enjoy Dream St Dance Company by choosing a Regional Dance Program that compresses a ten-week program into just one. All dance styles can be taught, from jazz to hip-hop and beyond.

Over the course of ten weeks, students will learn up to eight dances, all of which link to the school curriculum strands and capabilities. We offer a wide range of dance styles paired with fresh music so every child will be excited to boogie on down!
What better way to break a sweat than to bust a move on the dance floor? Our Dance 4 Sport Program is an energetic and fun addition to the usual ‘Friday sports’ offerings. Students of all ages will be taught fundamental athletic movements, practice their dance skills and build upon kinesthetic intelligence with music they love!
Our program is flexible and can be tailored for small and large groups. Dance 4 Sport is a great option for students who are not competing in district school sport but would love to learn a few new dance moves with their friends during school hours.

Departing for high school is a milestone, so lets make it magical! We offer dance rehearsals in the lead up to Year 6 graduation ceremonies as well as dance coordination and choreography for the Year 6 Farewell night. This exclusive program, spanning across 5-10 weeks, has students learning a dance style that can either be performed as a troupe (or partnered dancing if required).
Our Farewell Dance Program is engaging and will build upon confidence so all students will be dancing and building memories on their farewell night! Dance routines learnt over the 5-10 weeks can additionally be showcased to parents on the farewell night or during the school ceremony so students can display their newly acquired skills.
Students who attend schools in regional areas of Australia shouldn’t miss out on all the fun! The Regional Dance Program is one that is close to our heart as the results are so rewarding for herself, the students and the teachers involved! Compressing a 5-10 week dance program into just one week, students will strengthen their fitness and dance skills in a daily dance lesson.
At the end of the week, parents will be invited along to watch their children in a professional performance and students will enjoy a free disco to celebrate and show off all their new moves. Dream St Dance Company teachers will either drive or fly to you so regional students can experience a dance program normally only available at metropolitan schools.
What do competitive cheerleading champions all have in common? They are strong, fit, healthy and full of life! Don’t be fooled into thinking it’s all high-kicks and pom-poms. Are the kids getting a bit bored with colouring-in and skipping rope? Let’s mix it up and make it fun with our Out Of School Hours (OOSH) Dance Programs. Our dynamic dance classes will motivate kids to learn new moves and break a sweat, all before mum and dad pick them up at the end of the day. Best of all? Parents will love that they can pop in and enjoy a quick dance show at the end of class.
Tiny-tots can dance too! Pre-school-aged children will love learning basic dance steps allowing them to build upon their fine and gross motor movements and move to the rhythm of the beat of their favourite songs! This engaging and adorable dance program ties in with preschool early-learning curriculum. Over the course of 5-10 weeks, children will get the opportunity to show off a newly learnt dance moves to parents at an end of year concert and/or graduation.
